Iceland/Denmark 2022. The recap.

Ideally, this is a vacation to take in summer but, as I said earlier, there are advantages for choosing low season. This said, it was beautiful. I had been to Iceland 8 times previously, but never for more than a couple of days. Eric was with me on one of those trips and was enthusiastic, and I knew that both Gianna and Diane had an interest, so I wanted all of us to explore it entirely, together.
Island, as the country is called in its language, has no equal in the entire world. Its uniqueness is in its ruggedness, its volcanism, its hot springs, its thousands of waterfalls, its inclement yet tolerable weather in all seasons, its glaciers, its fjords, its emptiness, its coastline, the Northern Lights...
In ten days we have encountered many nice people, as we covered the entire Ring Road encircling the England-sized island.
Diane and I continued on to a place I had never been to before, and the only Scandinavian country that was missing on my map, Denmark. A dramatic change; what was lacking in landscape beauty was more than made up with the architectural marvels of its cities and the charm of its villages. A lovely contrast that provided yet another winning combination. Here's the single photo recap.
