A day at the Winery

At last, after several days in Mendoza, we got to visit a winery. It was a most pleasant and inebriating day.

There are several wineries in the area, but the host at the lovely place we have been renting here recommended Terrazas de las Andes, a mid-sized winery owned by the French champagne maker Moet et Chandon.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the elegant restaurant on the premises, where we sampled no less than six varieties.

By the time we got back to the house, I was feeling pretty tipsy, to put it mildly.

Here are a couple of pictures of the property we have been staying at. It was excellent.

As I’m writing this post we are at the Mendoza airport waiting for the plane that will take us clearly across the country, to a very different and exciting spot. Stay tuned, thank you.
